Highlights:
Governor Ruth Ann Minner and Secretary of Education Valerie Woodruff hosted 450 participants to discuss and begin work on the creation of a statewide dropout prevention plan. Presenters included Bob Wise from the Alliance for Excellent Education, Bob Balfanz, Johns Hopkins University and U.S Senator Thomas Carper.
- Prior to the summit the Governor’s Office hosted a series of regional youth engagement events understand the student perspective on why young people dropout of high school in Delaware.
- A video was created capturing the highlights of the gathering and viewed at the summit
